Rachel Alexandra (Rachel) dominated three groups of horses in 2009. She devastated three-year-old fillies in both the Kentucky Oaks and Mother Goose Stakes. The daughter of Medaglia d’Oro defeated three-year-old males in the Preakness and Haskell Invitational, and then beat older males in the Woodward at Saratoga.
